About Us

Founded in 2004 by athlete Ronny Sterckx and his parents, RST Vélosports has made its mark in the field of mountain biking in the laurentian and its surroundings.

Passionate about cycling since childhood, Ronny got a taste of competitive mountain biking as a teenager and became addicted to it. Initially intending a career in aerospace, he worked for mountain bike distributors for a few years and developed his knowledge and his passion. He finally decides to jump on a golden opportunity and starts RST Vélosports in the former outdoor store Le Gîte in Prévost, which has had two major expansions since.

Ronny, who still races, now in the Master 40+ category, is now training the next generation. His son, Nathan, who we often meet at the store, follows in his father's footsteps and races on the World Cup circuit. He provides sound advice with full knowledge of the facts, whether in store or at the workshop. His daughter, Gabrielle, is part of the sports studies at the Polyvalente school of St-Jérôme, aged 15, started racing since 2018, in enduro and downhill and who follows in the footsteps of her big brother. The Sterckx family has surrounded itself with a team of enthusiasts who do not take mountain biking lightly while respecting the needs of each client, whether beginner or expert.
